Theoretical Cosmology received half of the 2019-Nobel prize for the first time. I will explain the details of how, using Einstein's equations, we understand the past, the present and the possible future of the Universe. Cosmic Microwave background plays an important role in our understanding: it gives us spectacular details about how the Universe was around about 0.5 million years old. The observed structures, such as galaxies, galaxy clusters, etc. of the current universe come from acoustic (sound) waves in the earlier Universe and the reason for sound waves goes back to the beginning of the universe when quantum fluctuations dominated the scene. I will try to explain in pedagogical terms the quantum origin of the observed structure.
